State of the Game: April 5th, 2016

05/04/2016 01:37 PM

Greetings agents!

We’re a week away from the next major update to the game which will introduce, among other things, Incursions!

We’ve had a Special Report stream recently which dived deep into what they are and what you can expect. If you’d like to re-watch that stream in case you missed it, you can do that here

Of course, we’ll have even more information coming about what will be implemented in Update 1.1 on April 12th, so keep those comms channels open and clean, it’s going to be an exciting week!

Today

If you’re hungry for Patch Notes, there’s a big one for you to dive into. We’ve released the Patch Notes for Update 1.1. which is coming on April 12th

You can read them here

We’ve also had our weekly server maintenance but there's nothing special to report on this.

This Week

During the course of the week we’ll be dropping more and more information regarding everything that’s coming with Update 1.1 including a Podcast and an Intelligence Annex!

Stay up to date on all the latest info drops by following us on Twitter and Facebook!

Looking Forward

Update 1.1 marks a huge milestone for us, but of course it’s just the beginning!

The team is working on the next major updates and expansions already, while also keeping an ear on the ground for great community feedback and suggestions. And agents, you’ve already forwarded some great suggestions. Some of the most requested features that the developers are currently looking into are:

  • Weapon Skins not taking up inventory slots and following the Appearance items system
  • Being able to mass-craft materials (upgrading weapon parts for example)
  • Clan/Guild support
  • Vote/kick in match-made groups instead of leader’s discretion
  • And many more

We’d just like to say a quick thank you for all the awesome suggestions we’ve already seen and to let you know that all of them have been forwarded to the developers.

HOT TOPICS

Backpack Issue

We are aware of the backpack issue that is preventing players from getting into game. We have a fix ready for this and it will be deployed with the next update. We apologize to those who are experiencing this bug, and are very grateful for their help into identifying this issue. We'd also like to thank you for your patience.

Frontline sets

Great news for Season Pass holders, as you should have received the 7 “frontline outfits” last week. For your information, these are the 4 Agent Origins (Firefighter, Paramedic, Police and Hunter), National Guard, Survivor and Hazmat outfits. If you’re on console, make sure to check your store for these and claim them at the Reward’s Claim Vendor in your Base of Operations!

Community Love

We have some amazing community content to share!

First up, StoneMountain64 takes the RPG aspect of the game to the next level. We still don’t understand what Neo was doing in Tac Squad Elite.

And Janice Chu sent in a cool drawing of herself as an agent, but it kind of has an Adventure Time Marceline vibe to it as well. Cool beans!
