State of the Game: November 3rd, 2016

Greetings Agents!

Last week’s State of the Game was all about the launch of Update 1.4 and some of the immediate discussions we saw. This week we are covering some of the issues reported by the community as well as a bit of information about what’s coming next.

Today we had a maintenance to restart servers and make further server optimizations.

As we move further into Update 1.4, we’ve seen a lot of awesome discussions and community involvement. We want to thank everyone for being so involved with providing feedback, contributing to discussions, and reporting any issues that you encounter.

While a lot of you have enjoyed playing and getting back into the game, we are aware of the issues you are reporting and are working on getting as many of them resolved as possible. In addition, we are investigating ways of providing vanity items to players who were not able to collect them due to the vanity items cap issue that was present before Update 1.4. We understand the frustration and the importance of providing the items to those of you who missed out on some of them.

We continue to work on several Known Issues, make sure you check them out for the latest information.

As we move forward, we will be doing a PTS for update 1.5. The changes we are making with the update will be tested, including enemy armor damage against other players. We aren’t ready to provide a date for when this will begin just yet, but it’s not far away so keep an eye out. Similar to the last PTS, we can’t wait for the community to provide feedback on the changes!

Shotgun Meta

We’ve seen the shotgun meta discussion continue in Update 1.4, especially on consoles. While we are happy with where they have landed in PVE situations, we are aware of the PVP frustrations. We decided not to make large changes to the system in Update 1.4 as other factors were altered and we wanted to see how they played out. This will be addressed in Update 1.5 and the change will mostly be focusing on the aim assist systems.

Clear Sky Phoenix Credits Farming

We are aware of the fact that you can farm Phoenix Credits by lowering the world tier and completing Clear Sky on much easier difficulty. While this is not an exploit, it will be addressed in Update 1.5. It’s important that the scaling systems we have in place are consistent and that there is a higher reward for completing the content on harder difficulties.
