Invasion: Battle for D.C.

Kick the Black Tusks out of their base of operations by challenging the Tidal Basin Stronghold, then squad up and get ready to take on Operation Dark Hours, The Division 2's first eight-player Raid, set in Washington National Airport. While you're at it, grab a minigun and start dishing out massive damage with the new Gunner Specialization.

More About Invasion: Battle for D.C.

Q. Tidal Basin Stronghold
A.
The Black Tusk faction has dug in at Washington, D.C.'s Tidal Basin, a new stronghold where you'll face some of The Division 2's toughest enemies. The Tidal Basin Stronghold is available to players who've reached World Tier 4 and a gear score of at least 425; by defeating it, you'll be able to climb to World Tier 5, opening the way to gear scores of 450 to 500. Once finished, you can challenge Tidal Basin – or any other invaded mission or stronghold – on the new Heroic difficulty for a whole new level of challenge.
Q. New Weapons, Gear, And More
A.
The new Gunner Specialization comes with its own heavy weapon, a minigun, which grants Gunners bonus armor in exchange for the ability to vault over or duck behind cover.  Gunners also get the Banshee Signature Skill, which can disorient targets into staggering out from behind cover, and a special Riot Foam grenade that can freeze enemies in place.

Additionally, Invasion: Battle for D.C. adds two new exotic weapons, the Pestilence LMG and Nemesis sniper rifle, along with three new gear sets: True Patriot, Hardwired, and Ongoing Directive, each of which impart new buffs and perks as you complete them. The update also adds a new PVP map, Fort McNair.
Q. Invasion Apparel Event
A.
Running from April 5-25, the Invasion Apparel Event was the first of its kind, giving players a chance to collect new masks, weapon skins, and outfits inspired by The Division 2's enemy factions. During Apparel Events, players can use Event Keys to open special apparel caches and unlock new items. Event Keys can be earned by completing Weekly Apparel Projects, reaching Field Proficiency levels after level 30, reaching Dark Zone Proficiency, or through direct purchase with Premium Credits. After the events end, players have a limited time to use their Event Keys, after which most event items are moved into standard Apparel Caches to be earned through gameplay (with the exception of certain event-exclusive items).
Q. Operation Dark Hours
A.
The Black Tusk is using Washington National Airport to bring troops and supplies into Washington, D.C., and it's your mission to cut off their point of entry. Pitting a team of eight players against the Black Tusk's most powerful troops, Operation Dark Hours is the biggest challenge to hit The Division 2 yet, with four major boss battles and no respawns. Open to players who've reached World Tier 5 and attained a gear score of at least 490, Operation Dark Hours is the ultimate test of skill and coordination for The Division 2's most advanced Agents.
