Today we had a standard maintenance to restart the servers and make further optimizations.

We are excited to announce that Survival and Update 1.5 will be available on Tuesday, November 22nd for Xbox One and PC. Unfortunately, the release of Update 1.5 has been delayed a few days on PS4. As soon as we have more news we will share it.

Additionally, we want to highlight some changes we made that was based on feedback we received after the PTS was wrapped up on Monday.

  • We are reducing the Weapon Talent requirements on 256 Gear Score weapons. This to make them more consistent with the attribute requirement scaling that already exists.
  • We are reverting the change to Enemy Armor Damage as a major attribute. We were not satisfied with the way it was implemented and based on your feedback, we’ve decided to revert it. This means that it will go back to how it is in 1.4 and will continue to be a minor stat that can be found on Kneepads and Masks. We are going to continue to investigate a better implementation for the future. Enemy Armor Damage will still apply in PVP!

As Survival will be available on November 22nd for PC and Xbox One, it will be available to PS4 players in December.

Sealed Caches

As we approach Update 1.5, we’ve received a lot of questions regarding Sealed Caches and how Update 1.5 will impact them. There are two important points to clarify:

  • Caches that were purchased from the vendor before Update 1.5 will automatically drop items at Gear Score 163. This is because the caches sold at the vendors will now scale together with the vendors and everything purchased before will be considered level 30 (Gear Score 163) quality. We recommend you open them before the update is released.
  • All the other caches have the Gear Score of the items within them determined when they are looted. This won’t change if you save and open them after Update 1.5 is released so there is no reason to hang on to them.

As always, be sure to join us over on the Official Forums or on the community Reddit if you’re looking for a place to discuss all things related to The Division.

Until next time!
