State of the Game: February 2nd, 2017

02/02/2017 05:30 PM

Greetings Agents!

This week’s State of the Game is talking about all things PTS!

Check out the stream VOD below for all the juicy details. For those of you on the move you can listen to it as a podcast!

There was a maintenance this morning that performed the usual duties.

We also had a maintenance on the PTS servers today to deploy PTS 3. You can read the full patch notes here!

The same character templates that were available during PTS 2 will also be available for PTS 3. This means that all new characters will have a full set of High-Ends, but no caches. You will still be able to purchase Exotic caches from the Special Equipment Vendor to get a hold of them, however no other caches will be available for free. We want to see how everything plays out as if it is the live environment.

There are two Known Issues as we head into PTS 3. You can read the full information here.

While Last Stand and new features are important, please also take some time to test the various PVE activities in the game. We need your feedback on how the various changes have impacted PVE!

To read more about our goals with PTS 3, check out the latest Agent Brief!

We don’t have a final release date for Last Stand and Update 1.6 just yet as we continue to focus on the PTS. We are paying close attention to all feedback and suggestions we receive, so keep them coming! If you encounter any issues, please use the Bug Reports forum and provide us with as much detail as possible about the issue.

Balancing

Since the start of the PTS, we’ve seen a lot of discussions surrounding balancing. We would like to reiterate that this is the PTS, nothing is finalized and everything should be considered a work in progress. As we make changes, we are closely monitoring your feedback and how they are playing out. The PTS allows us to not only test different ideas and changes, but also identify and address any issues that appear.

As always, be sure to join us over on the Official Forums or on the community Reddit if you’re looking for a place to discuss all things related to The Division.

Until next time!
