More About D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions

Q. Episode 1 Release Date
A.
Episode 1 will arrive in a free update for owners of The Division 2 on July 30th, 2019. Owners of the Year One Pass will have access one week early, on July 23rd, 2019.
Q. What’s included in Episode 1?
A.
D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions adds two new main missions, as well as a new Expeditions experience that adds weekly, exploration-driven challenges. The missions introduce two new settings: Manning National Zoo, where players will explore 11 different biomes to confront the leader of the Outcasts; and Camp White Oak, where they'll hunt down a traitor. Finally, Expeditions will bring players to Kenly College, where they'll earn unique rewards by exploring, investigating, and solving puzzles to uncover the fate of a lost convoy.
Q. How do the new missions tie into The Division 2’s narrative?
A.
The new missions are epilogues that cap off two major story threads from the campaign. Missing Outcast leader Emeline Shaw has been found and tracked to Manning National Zoo, giving Division Agents the perfect opportunity to bring the hammer down on Outcast operations. And at Camp White Oak, players will hunt down President Andrew Ellis, who fled after being exposed as a traitor working with the Black Tusk.
Q. What are Expeditions?
A.
Expeditions are free events that bring players to unexplored locations, and the first brings players to Kenly College. Here, players will search for a missing convoy by delving into three different environments joined by a central hub, each with a distinct look and feel. These locations are tests of your exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat skills, with new enemies and lore to discover, and completing them can net you unique rewards.
